| No doubt that renewable energy is derived from the sun, flowing water, wind and maybe hydrogen. Renewable generating systems means - a method of producing energy from sources that are Constantly and Naturally Renewed. They include Wind, Water and Solar energy. They may seem to be different and independent Sources. The first source of energy has always been the Sun, it produces energy by the process called nuclear fusion. The energy reaches the surface of earth making rise to the global wind patterns,which in turn we use to turn wind turbines( windmills ).Also PhotoVoltic generation systems that can directly convert the suns energy to electricity. |
| The power from the sun (heat and light = solar power). Solar power is renewable as long as the sun shines. Solar power systems generate electricity. Solar collectors use mirrors and lenses to concentrate and focus sunlight onto a receiver mounted on roofs and or other places .The receiver absorbs and converts the sunlight to heat, and then is transported by heated fluid ( either molten salt or water through pipes to a steam generator or engine and converted to electricity. We have been Harvesting the wind for years by grinding grain and pumping water with it. Wind turbines ( windmills) are mounted on towers to capture the most energy. At 100 feet high or more they can take advantage of faster and lest turbulent wind . They can catch the winds energy with their blades. They usually use 2 or 3 blades and are mounted on a shaft to make a rotor turn, (it acts like airplanes wings). |
